 Under Coach Livai’s watch, Kahuku football evolved into a higher force beyond Hawaii. On a national scale, the program could not be ignored, as they became the first public high school in Hawaii to be nationally ranked.  Coach Livai kept the Kahuku football team nationally ranked for 7 years. When he retired, five former Red Raiders played in the National Football League (four played under Livai), a number topped by no other high school at the time. Kahuku High School held a record of 27 players signed with Division I universities to play football.  Coach Livai was the National Head Coach of the Year twice and was voted the Coach of the Decade in 2010 by coaches of all sports in Hawaii schools, both public and private. 

 Polynesian American Sports and Education (PASE) was founded in 2002 as a means of returning young polynesian men to their roots, to immerse them in their native culture as pacific islanders, and to restore their native heritage and identity. Our purpose was and is to release polynesian youth into their destinies. Today, PASE has expanded into the United States, as well as into international competitions, including the International Federation of American Football (IFAF).
